Determining if a file path is hidden or visible?

  • Subject: Determining if a file path is hidden or visible?

I'm using - [NSFileManager subpathsAtPath:] to give me the full contents
of a directory and its sub-directories, but then I only want to process
visible, non-hidden files in that directory -- especially because the
directories tend to get filled with junk like .DS_Store and .FBCIndex.

Obviously one way to do so is to ask if the file begins with "." but I
must be missing a more elegant way to determine if a file is real or
hidden. Any suggestions?
