Thank you all so much for your replies and helping me figure out how to use
TabViews in IB. I now have a TabView system that works perfectly!!!

It is amazing that two days spent foraging through Apple's documentation and
examples yields no results whilst a small post on the list gives me 6 clear
and concise answers!!!

Once again I thank you all and hope that one day when I get a grip on this
stuff that I can repay the favour!!!!
