I don't remember where I read that, but if you have a good C knowledge,
Obj-C is definitely the way to go. The syntax is much closer between the
two languages.
What will be harder is time to get to know the cocoa api.
Java Api still lacks more documentation than Obj-C api.
Java Api lacks some methods or classes (One that comes to my mind is sto
print a String in a NSImage).
Java lacks many features which are OS-related (localhost, pid etc).
You should still be able to mix Java and Objective C (although not yet,
I guess), the same way you did with WebObjects 4.5 when you really need
it.
So, if I knew C, I'd go for Objective C, and I advise you to do so.
