It should be fairly simple to take the information from Learning Cocoa
and map it to Java. A good book to start with on Java would be Bruce
Eckel's Thinking in Java, available in both PDF on his website and in
the bookstore.
The development docs and on-line docs for Cocoa contain both the
Objective-C and Java references for the API.

While we are on the subject of books. What about good Java books for

Cocoa apps in Java?
There is, thankfully, no Java in the O'Reilly Cocoa book. You might ask
on the java list about good books.
