NIAuthenticationButton?

Hi,

Anyone ever delve into some of the System PreferencePanes like Energy Saver? Go right into the Resources folder and open the nib. All the panes that include a lock/unlock icon, with associated text , seem to include a thing called an NIAuthenticationButton.

If I drag this custom control into my Preference pane I see a tantalisingly useful, yet not quite usable, control, when I run my Preference Pane in System Preferences. My PreferencePane suddenly has a fully working lock/unlock authentication button with fully localised text. This is so cool!

However, if I am correct it's not possible for me to use this as it's not part of Cocoa. Is it defined by some other Preference Pane, and I only seem to get this behavior because my PrefPane is running in the same context. Anone have any ideas how to hook into this control?

Kirby
