I just read it Friday & the Feiler book might help you.
It doesn't assume you've programmed Macintoshes or NeXT
machines before. It's examples are in both ObjC and Java.
It won't get you all the way, but might be a decent
start in your situation. (For me, it stopped short
every time things looked like they were about to
become interesting.)
The amount of traffic on the X dev lists is getting
to be a real time-eater, so I'll leave it at that.
