This looks like a bug. You can work around this by switching to the
outline view in the document window:
Click the button in the Instances Tab to switch to the outline view.
[demime 0.98b removed an attachment of type image/tiff which had a name of IconView_nib1.tiff]
Now Use the disclosure triangles to explore the objects in your
nib.(Option click to disclose all of a view's subviews).
You can control drag on object in the outline view to another to make
a connection.
