Hey,

Aight, so I have a custom view in my toolbar that has a text field. I modify the text in this field, I go to customize the toolbar and that custom view toolbar item shows up in the customization palette with text from the item in the toolbar.

I am going to use Mail.app as an example again...

The search field in mail.app, if I enter some text and go to the customization palette, sure enough, the search item in the palette is clean...

Any ideas on how I would do this?

Hope this made sense heh.
