Everyone seems to be having a pop at C++ today. There are so many
inaccuracies in many of the posts that I don't know where to begin. So I
won't. I'm not about to start defending it (C++); I use it all day every day
and it's not without its problems. We do seem to be wasting an awful lot of
bandwidth on it though. This is a Cocoa list. C++ isn't an option. Let's
drop it. Okay, I know someone brought the subject up but it was OT anyway.
If you want C++ on a Mac then it's bye bye cos you gotta go somewhere else.
I don't know Obj-C well enough to have found any problems with it yet. When
I do it'll likely cause me to ask a question in the form "In C++ I'd do x to
achieve y. How do I do it in Obj-C?". I'd like to think I might get an
answer telling me how, but based on what I've seen today it'll more likely
be seen by many as another chance to slag C++ off.
Brad.
P.S. C++ rules! ;-)
