I was working on a Cocoa app when I noticed that I couldn't see a preview of

a film strip icon.

Thinking I could code around this, I tried some old Carbon code and got the
same result. I just booted back into OS 9 and code works there so I guess
the ability to preview movies is just gone from X.

I thought it was useful. I'd like to see it returned.

I think it only works in a Finder window with the columns view. It works for me from the Finder. It never worked from the Open dialog, AFAIK.
