I'm not sure this is exactly the right list for that, but I'm trying to make a standalone application using a Flash movie (.swf). I have to catch flash events in order to perform tasks.

Can I use Obj-C (throw C code but which API ?) or should I use a flash track in a QuickTime movie and QTJava ?
Is it possible with cocoa or carbon library ?

QuickTime (and NSQuicktimeView, of course) is able to read flash files and display them (incl. interactivity). However, I'd rather not trust on 100% compatibility with all flash files.
The best way would be to utilize the flash browser plugin. But doing that is certainly not easy, and I don't have any clue about that (the Omni people should).
