NSWorkspaceWillPowerOffNotification (worse than description forthcoming)

In the NSWorkSpace documentation:

NSWorkspaceWillPowerOffNotification

Posted when the user has requested a logout or that the machine be powered off. Currently unavailable.

Is it still unavailable in 10.1 ?

(If it's not available, what is the purpose of documenting unavailable stuff when for instance NSSound is completely undocumented ?)
