Okay, I managed to resolve the last issue I posted here (by utilizing DO instead of notifications), but now I'm having a very tiny, but annoying problem:

I've defined a document for my application with an extension and icon file. It's obviously working - if I double-click files with that extension, my program launches and opens the file. However, the icon is not being used - I just get the generic document icon. If this were <OS9, I would rebuild the desktop, but I don't think there's anything like that in OS X. What might I have forgotten to do? I checked that the extension is correct and that the name of the icon file is correct... Any thoughts are greatly appreciated...

I noticed that when I defined an icon for my application the other day, it didn't show up in the dock until I restarted. I don't know if it is the same with a document icon, but I wouldn't be surprised.
