Dear Cocoa Developers,

Just because you use Interface Builder and can build Aqua *layout* compliant
UI *doesn't* mean your application is easy to use, intuitive, or as effect
as it can be letting users get their work done. This event is a fantastic
opportunity for you to get feedback on how to make your application easy to
use and to learn how to exploit Cocoa.

Due to popular demand, we're excited to announce several upcoming hands-on
USER EXPERIENCE/HUMAN INTERFACE DESIGN workshops, also known as kitchens, to
assist you in developing an awesome Aqua-compliant user interface for your
Mac OS X products. There's no charge to attend these events.

COCOA USER EXPERIENCE/HUMAN INTERFACE DESIGN KITCHENS
User Experience/Human Interface Design kitchens are 3 days in duration and
targeted at the software engineers responsible for writing the user
interface portion of your Mac OS X product who need help working through
issues that are blocking or slowing their progress adopting Aqua.

During the first day of the User Experience/Human Interface Design kitchen,
you'll meet with members of Apple's Human Interface Design team to get
feedback on your product's ease of use, compliance with the Mac OS X Human
Interface Guidelines, and much more. After this feedback session you can use
the remaining time to implement changes resulting from our feedback and
resolve blocking issues by taking advantage of 1 on 1 time with Apple's own
engineers. This is your chance to have Apple's own OS engineers help you
solve problems. Don't waste your time trying to figure it all out on your
own!

LOCATION, DATES, AND TIMES
Apple Computer Campus
Building 1
1 Infinite Loop,
Cupertino, CA 95014

COCOA User Experience/Human Interface Design kitchens:
Wednesday Nov 14, 2001 - Friday Nov 16, 2001. 9am - 5pm

CARBON User Experience/Human Interface Design kitchens:
Wednesday Nov 28, 2001 - Friday Nov 30, 2001. 9am - 5pm

COMPLIMENTARY SCHEDULES
USER EXPERIENCE/HUMAN INTERFACE DESIGN workshops have been scheduled to
follow immediately after ICON DESIGN workshops (see separate invitation) in
order to complement one another despite having different audiences and
focus. We encourage you to have your Product Marketing, visual designers,
Human Interface designers, and software engineers attend these events at
different times to best take advantage of the information we'll present. For
example, your visual designers could attend the ICON DESIGN kitchen,
everyone could attend your HI review session, and your software engineers
could stay the remaining time to make enhancements to your product.

The number of developers we can host is limited, so reserve your space as
