Cocoa Developers,

Is it possible for my cocoa app to block access to a specific web address ie. "www.news.com' without using other software/firewall? and is there any open source firewalls for OSX?

OSX includes IPFW.

Try "man ipfw" in a terminal window.

In fact, all of the firewall GUIs for OSX are pretty much just shells around the ipfw command.

Here's a good article to start with:
http://wopr.norad.org/articles/firewall/

After that one, proceed to the BSD websites.
