sliding views in Mail.app

Hi,
Is there a build in control to do the sliding views like in Mail application in Mac OS X. The Table View(top portion displaying the From, Subject, Date& Time) and the Text view(Bottom view displaying the mail body) in the main window of the application can be moved bottom/up using the separator bar in the middle. Thanks.
