Greetings,
From within a Cocoa application, I'd like to get
locale information about other locales.
Where can I get reliable locale information on OS X?
There is a Languages directory within Foundation's
resource directory, but the contents are incomplete
compared to the available choices in the International
Preferences Panel. Also, I can't find any Carbon
functions to get other locale information. Lastly,
many of the unix locale functions either don't work or
don't exist.
Getting current locale info is simple (see defaults
database), but getting info about other locales seems
difficult.
