Finlay,
Would this perhaps help address the very common problem of languages and
tools that currently only live in the shell, under OS X, because a GUI front
end specifically for Cocoa is marginal compared with an existing X Windows
one?
I know of several cases in point - OCAML, Haskell, R (the statistical
language, clone of S), and more.
I was wondering whether the GUI toolkits developed for SDL (such as paragui,
GUIlib) weren't another possibility, although GTK+ would for many purposes
be more practical.
(I'm not sure that I could have much to offer this project, but *something*
is badly needed if these tools aren't going to require X Windows as an
intermediary on OS X.)
Regards,
Howard.
