Naming conventions

Apologies in advance of flame wars or rehashing dangers, I checked the
archive for discussions already to no avail...

If there is one thing I liked about Java (and, despite what it lacks, I like
a lot of things about it), it's the package concept. Now, I admit I may have
a fetish for deep, unique heirarchies in design, but the class naming
conventions in Cocoa/Obj-C are a bit crummy.

Putting capital letters in front of class names to make them unique is not
particularly foolproof. While I can't see it being anywhere as much of a
problem in Cocoa as Java at large (out there on the wild wild web), you
never know. So what have people said about this before now? And is everybody
happy with it the way it is?
