I think something to keep in mind is that even in the best of times for the now-Classic MacOS, we had scores of Mac programming books, detailing some of the more specific things as well as covering a broad range of topics. How many Dave Mark books are on my shelf? A lot.

I think, based what I've seen here in the past few months, there's a market for a ton of Cocoa books, not just one 'better' one. I'd like a variety, even if they covered the same topic. No one author is going to be able to describe it to me just like I need it described, no matter what the topic is. So I'd buy them all. I bet I wouldn't be alone.
