Window and document are two quite different things. Agreed that in simplest
applications like TextEdit they kind of blend together, but that's rather a
coincidence.

Yes...it's been awhile since I read the current HIG, but for my own use, I'
d probably put it into the File menu if it really was a file being closed,
and the Window menu otherwise.
For a utility-type app that didn't open files, then, it would be in Window,
but most other cases would stick it under File.
