I've re-checked, and it's EVEN WORSE THAN THAT!
The standard template, as I've written in the previous message, contains
the "Document/Close" and not the "Window/Close" menu item. Which makes it
utterly inconsistent is that it is connected to the _WINDOW-RELATED_
performClose: action (even for Document based applications)!
PLEASE CORRECT THIS *A*S*A*P*, lest the inconsistency and confusion spreads
too far:
(i) bring back to the templates the "Window/Close" item connected to performClose:
(ii) I think it _is_ reasonable to have a "Document/Close" connected to
closeDocument: in templates as well (preferrably for Document Based
applications only);
(iii) You have to decide the key equivalents yourself, but for the reason
expressed in the previous mail (Cmd-_w_, _w_indow) I would strongly recommend
havind Cmd-w for the "Window/Close" and something other for the
"Document/Close".
