I always send to this list from the wrong email address. Sending again.
Sorry if it eventually hits the list twice.

Hi Scott,
You shouldn't need to use segments if you already have one topic per
page. If you want to return search results with abstracts in them, just
use the DESCRIPTION meta tag, as you originally tried.
As for why no results are getting returned, I'm not sure. Does your
help book show up in the Help Center when you run Help Viewer? Does the
index file have a reasonable amount of data in it? Does the index file
have its permissions set such that the user who's running Help Viewer
can read it?
If the answer to all three questions is "yes," send me your help book
(off list) and I'll take a look at it.

Hi,
I'm having some difficulty making my application's help searchable by
the Apple Help application. I have added keywords and descriptions (as
meta data since my help topics are per-page). I tried using AppleSegs
and AppleKeywords too. The help contents were indexed properly using
the Apple Help Indexing tool. Still, when I try a simple phrase which
I know contains keywords I've assigned, Apple Help returns to me that
there were "no items found" for my query. Is there a step I'm missing?
Regards,
Scott
