Thanks to everyone who replied publicly and privately. I think I learned
that what I originally hoped to do is going to be impossible/more trouble
than it's worth. I wanted to be able to write an app as a mostly portable
library and just hire someone to finish the Windows portion. The difference
in graphics models between Display PS and Quartz is a surmountable problem
because it's very feasible to use QT Media layer for dialogs and widgets.
The container classes, memory management, etc is available from GnuStep.
The killer here is linking GCC code with .o files produced by any compiler
that supports MFC. That is not feasible for both technical and legal
reasons.
The suggested approach of just installing WO 4.51 on the PC is probably
technically feasible but too expensive.
