Is there some reason why you can't just use gnutar? It's available on a whole lot of platforms, and the source code is free.

Hi,

I am writing an application for Windows which store multiple files in a
single file (similar to archive apps like StuffIt).

This either requires me to implement a very specific file structure for
storing all required data, or a virtual file system in the file. On looking
through the MSDN help system I cam across 'Structured Storage' which looks
like the answer. According to the help it is supported on Macintosh, however
I cannot find the help I need for an OSX Cocoa app to take advantage of
this.

Can anyone help me with this.
I need to know is it definatley supported in Mac OSX or not.
What SDK (if any) is required.
Where else to find help/samples, etc.

Thanks
