It wasn't so much the https coding that I thought would be more difficult (though I didn't know NSURL would do https; thanks for the note). It's a (relatively) simple thing to set up a proxy to log all HTTP requests and responses, so you can get a verbose log of a web "conversation". Secure HTTP requests and responses are encrypted, so while you may be able to log them, you can't easily figure out what's in them.

That means it has do be done the hard way: analyze the HTML.
