OT: IrDA in 5G64

Sorry, this might be slightly off-topic. I was wondering about the implementation of IrDA in 5G64.
It seems, that there are no changes since 5G40... Well, I just wanted to know if anybody of you knows something related to IrDA in 5G64.
As far as I can see, there's a "Menuling" on my PBG4. However, it does not load. Inside the "IrDA.menu" I found a text file called "To Do" which claims "all done"... Maybe this means only the menuling.
Well, starting 'locate IrDA' it seems that there are some kernel extensions related to IrDA called 'AppleUSBIrDA.kext' and 'AppleSCCIrDA.kext'. Both are not loading on my PBG4... Furthermore, I found some IrDA related resources inside the network pref pane.
Seems to be a disabled menu.
Well, does anybody know, what these kext files are doing? Sounds like a bridge to USB to me...
Does anybody know, if IrDA already runs on discontinued PowerBook model (Pismo/Lombard).

Sorry again for being off-topic.
Martin
