Hi,
I'll keep this quick. After negotiating a deal with the guy that runs
Techstra (what a swell guy), I've put O'Reilly's "Learning Cocoa" onto the
site.
As many know, Aaron Hillegass's book has been running on Techstra for quite
some time, and is doing pretty darn well on that system.
What I'd like to ask of this group is:
A) 3-5 people to "moderate" the book - i.e. Use the back end system to put
in descriptions for the various chapters, put up some errata, and similar. I
would be able to help here as well.
B) some people who own the book to begin using the site.
A is the most critical of course, since the site's basically "blank" for
now. I think a week of a little effort (i.e. Everyone takes a few different
chapters) could produce a good framework for people.
This list caters to 'newbies' a bit more than some other developers, and
Learning Cocoa is also Apple's endorsement, so anyone who wishes to help,
please email me privately. Everything can remain confidential, so any Apple
folks that want to help out "off the record" should feel absolutely free to
do so...
Anyway, I hope that was brief enough.
P.S. Book owners, feel free to begin using the site, even without examles
and whatnot, as you can ask pertinent questions by page # and get them
answered.
