giving inspector window focus

I have an inspector window inspecting objects on a main window. The
inspector has a standard IB scrollview/tableview object on it but when i go
to edit stuff in the table view i have to give the window focus first by
clicking either in a textfield in the inspector or the titlebar. The window
doesnt gain focus when i click in the tableview . How do i give the
inspector focus(make it key) by clicking in the tableview.
