Timing issue

Hello fellow developers. I've figured out what my problem could be, now i just need a way around it. :P I have a method that is called externally (as a system service) and i want it to wait for user input much like Grab does with it's Selection service. I've been going over the cocoa APIs and i haven't been able to find a class that would let me do this. can anyone expose the secret to that little trick? Is there some kind of 'NSWait' object or method that i could set and un-set at will? Thanks in advance.

Jason M
