Apology & question

Please forgive my "Re: Symbolic links, alias files and related stuff" message, it was meant for MacOSX-dev.

And now for a question... I have an NSOutlineView in my app I am using to display a list of files. Whenever the user is dragging & dropping something onto the outline view, if he hovers over an expandable item (a folder in this case) it will automatically expand. This might be nice for some people, but others (myself included) find it quite annoying.

I searched for a way to set it not to happen, but there doesn't seem to be any! The way I finally ended up doing it was to override the private methods NSOutlineView uses to automatically expand items in my subclass... but of course that's a less than perfect solution.

Has anyone else found a way to overcome this problem?

Thanks,
Andreas Schwarz
