I share your pain. PB on a 800DP with 768M and and 10k ultrawide Atlas
is can be unusually slow and cpu intensive. Linking small projects can
cause PB to sometimes hog up both cpus with about 60% of each devoted to
the system.
Turn off indexing if you don't use it.
This helped me a bit.
Upgrade to PB 2.0beta/gcc 3.1beta and see if that helps. :-)
This doesn't appear to be an option for mere mortal (free) developers?
Or are these at some location other than the standard "Download
Software" on the ADC site?
