Yes and no. The company "Faster Software" is using optimized algorithms;
which in some cases means assembly-optimized. Creating software quickly
doesn't always produce a fast product. :)

In fact, it's difficult to keep the speed of your software up these days,
although we get faster and faster CPUs.
(Where do those lost clock-cycles go ?)
