You can install 9 via Classic. We test it all the time, but with OS 9
already installed for Classic to run from. Here's what I would do (this
"should" work)...
First step is to get a valid OS 9 System Folder on your hard drive. You can
copy the one off your OS 9 CD.
Second step is to make that new System Folder "blessed" so Classic can play
with it. You can do this by going into System Preferences and selecting
Startup Disk. Let it scan all the way. This should bless the system folder
you just copied.
Third step is to boot Classic from that System Folder (go into Classic pref
and select your new system folder and start it)
Forth step, run the OS 9 installer from the CD... Install to a separate
partition... Good luck...
