Hi, I can't speak specifically to the Omni frameworks, but I thought I would share my experience with CalendarViews.

Jiiva's ABC Frameworks has a swell calendar view. Great documentation and very easy to use. I am sure Omni's frameworks are superb, but clearly making it easy for other developers to use is not high priority for Omni. On the other hand, Jiiva is marketing to developers specifically like us who want more widgets but don't want the slowdown of complicated frameworks like Omni.

If you want to roll your own CalendarView, the O'Reilly _Learning Cocoa_ implements a simple NSMatrix based CalendarView in Chapter 12. However, it won't be as nice as Jiiva's!

into its code, I'd be much better off starting from scratch.
