Apple provides this script "Play Random Track" with iTunes. If you have your Script Menu installed, it will be in the iTunes sub-menu. The actual script will be found in your ~/Library/Scripts/iTunes/ folder:
Mistake: the iTunes scripts I mentioned above must be downloaded and installed - they aren't included with iTunes. The package of goodies, which also includes templates and fonts for AppleWorks, is available here:
