look for "Cocoa browser" on the web, this is a utility to browse the
Cocoa doc. It is a must have in my opinion.

I'm relying heavily on the the local documentation in /Developer/*. As
a newbie I don't know if I'm
failing to use the documentation effectively or if I'm expecting too
much. I'm posing the question to find
out which it is.
This is not a rant. I probably just don't know where to look.
For example, the "Programming Topic: TableViews" has a section on
"Using a Table Delegate".
There it talks about "tableView:willDisplayCell:forTableColumn:row:"
but I wasn't able
to locate any mention the types of the arguments. I did find an
example at cocoadev.com.
This is one small example in a string of dozens. Literally, as a
newbie almost every time I want to implement
some feature I spend an inordinate amount of time reading/searching the
local documentation, then give up
and dialup to search on line and post here if that fails. Thank
goodness for these mailing lists
and the web sites.
Can someone set me straight or confirm there is no good index for the
Developer documentation.
Thanks,
brian redman
