Undocumented Cocoa?

  • Subject: Undocumented Cocoa?

I've been looking through Apple's developer site for clues on how to do things in Cocoa and it seems that a lot of Cocoa is undocumented. For example, there is nothing on Apple's site that demonstrates the proper way to create a Cocoa based Background only application, or the how to create a StatusItem. There is actually a small snippet on creating StatusItems, but it's not very helpful. I've done searches at Google and found some hints at how to do these things, but nothing comprehensive enough to provide a complete explanation. There are some Cocoa oriented sites that have sample code, but most of this stuff is similar to what Apple has posted. Does anyone have any pointers to source code or documentation that demonstrates either of these things?
Thanks
