A better Sketch

Windows (at least Windows '98) has a counterpart to the Sketch program included in the Developer Tools examples. I think there's a great opportunity for someone to improve upon Sketch to the point where it was suitable for release, as I've already found great use for it in designing posters (I like its interface more than AppleWorks' "draw" feature).

Unfortunately, I think there's a problem. When I take a medium-large image (504 x 330) and drag the lower-right corner, shrinking it to a tiny size and making it large again, Sketch frequently quits unexpectedly.

I would like to try to track down this problem, but I have no idea where to start. Can anyone offer me a few pointers? Is this perhaps a known problem? Or is Apple even going to include Sketch with the standard 10.2 applications?

Take care,
Andrew Merenbach
