Carbonish aliases for Cocoa?

  • Subject: Carbonish aliases for Cocoa?

I would like to store, in an NSDictionary, a reference to a file. I would like this reference to be a robust and durable reference. In particular, I want the reference to remain correctly resolvable should the user change the file's location or name. Basically, I want Cocoa functional equivalent to, or a Cocoa wrapper for, a Carbon style alias that can be stored in an NSDictionary.

Does such a beast exist? Any pointers appreciated...

Regards,

_murat
