How are you writing out XML?

What tools are most people using to read/write XML data?

I'm looking for something that can read/write and preferably supports XPath/XQuery. Validation would be nice.

Should I just use the libxml2 framework from the GHOME project? The CoreFoundation XML tools seem to only be useful to parse XML, but I don't see anything to help me write XML out.
