Table View Menu Validation!?!?

Hey -

I have a NSTableView with a contextual menu hooked up to it through
interface builder.

I have "Close" menu item, you know the standard one that closes
windows. It closes all of my windows including the window with this
table view as expected..... Except when the table view is selected
(i.e. from the time i click the tableview until the time i click
another control the 'close' button is disabled'). Can anyone tell me
what is going on?
