Thinking about the whole Application Support directory situation
further..
does this not encounter the same potential issues that the defaults
system did with respect to naming?
Apple moved to the more flexible (and like likely to collide)
com.something.appname for defaults... yet the Application Support
directory still uses the application name..
this seems like it should be implemented in a fashion similar to the
localization of the Application and Library directories... make the
directories actual name the same as the defaults domain, and then
translate it on the fly to something human friendly..
