You are a wonder!! Thank you. I wondered why the crash occured outside my main loop though. Even if I screwed up memory by retaining incorrectly, shouldn't the crash not ocure til I return to my code and do something. For some reason, I thought Copy was one of the examples of calls that did NOT Retain.

However, we are back the original crash that occurs when the text is refilled (all the views are destroyed and rebuilt, usually when font size or number of columns changed). This ONLY occurs when the text is selected! Try it, select the text, and change the font size or column count. See if that crashes it.
