That would be like asking the high-schooler behind the counter at your
local McDonald's how to butcher a cow. The individuals that do the
final work on a book are FAR removed from how it all comes together in
the first place. I have had college english students copy edit
technical books before at barely minimum wage. Do you think they know
anything about C++?
It would be nice if the publishing pipeline were that smooth, but it
just isn't.
