To the gent who was asking for a cocoa book. I'll probably get flamed

Pay a visit to your local public library.
Does your library actually have copies of Cocoa books?
Wow.. I'd be surprised if the College I work at does... I know our
local library doesn't...
Might be an interesting gift to the high-school library though...
hmm...
Don't just check your local library. Most libraries these days
are online, and you can search regional databases that cover many
libraries.
Here's what I found checking the ReQuest database of Connecticut
libraries:
Format: Book
System Nbr.: ocm50788170
LCCN: 2001089381
ISBN: 0672322307 (pbk.) :
Author: Anguish, Scott.
Title: Cocoa programming / Scott Anguish, Erik M. Buck, Donald A.
Yacktman. Publisher: Sams,
Date: c2003.
Description: xxiii, 1245 p. : ill. ; 23 cm.
Notes: Includes index.
Subject Title: Mac OS.
Subject: Operating systems (Computers)
Subject: Macintosh (Computer) --Programming.
Co-Author: Yacktman, Donald A.
Co-Author: Buck, Erik M.
Locations
Connecticut
Central Conn. State Univ. (Burritt Library): QA76.76.O63 A63 2003 (ILL
Lender)
(Congrats, Scott! There's even a cover shot.) Central also has
Hillegass' book and the first Learning Cocoa. Southern CT State
just has Learning Cocoa.
"ILL Lender" means you can go to my local library and place a
request for this book. It'll eventually turn up here in a week
or two, and they'll call me. It's not as important in wee little
states like Connecticut, but you probably wouldn't want to
drive from Kennewick to Seattle to grab a book.
Anyone with extra cash this holiday season ought to consider
making a gift to their library of a copy of Scott's book. ;^)
