i have a background app.

it must know:

[01] when the top-level menus are updated (the ones
visible in the menubar)
[02] the x-coordinate and width of the furthest menu
to the right (usually the "Help" menu)


i think i have an idea for [01], but i don't a clue on [02].

anyone have a solution? either Cocoa or Carbon is fine.....
