The CoreFoundation in Darwin can be built and used on Windows. The
current top-of-tree sources (which are the 10.2 sources) in the Darwin
CVS repository need some tweaks to get it to building again on Windows,
but it is possible. There are some items which aren't available I
believe or don't work quite the same on Windows (CFMessagePort, API in
CFTimeZone, and probably others I don't know about).
However, unless you need the portability today, I wouldn't bother
"knocking it down" until and unless you need to do so.

Is the CF framework cross platform, i.e can it be compiled for a
windows app? I am wondering about a little future portability of a
section of my code and have built it heavily in Cocoa obj-c but can
easily knock it down to c w/ CF.
