[resend] Finding Applications for File Type

I need to provide users a list of suitable "helper" applications in the
Preferences panel of my application. I expected to find some simple API
for this in NSWorkspace or a similar class (e.g.,
"-applicationsForFileType:"), but no luck. This is clearly something
that's done in the Finders get info panel (under "Open With:"). Is
there public API for it?
