Hello,

I received some comments from one user telling me that my application avoid the screensaver to activate (on 10.2.3, did not test with prior version). So I am asking you: What particular operations an application can do to avoid the screen saver to activate?

There's an API which can be used to tell the System that something is happening and that it's not time to went to sleep or to activate the Screen Effects. This API is used by the QuickTime Movie Player for instance to avoid launching the Screen Effects when you're watching a keynote stream for instance.

This API is within Carbon AFAIK.
